Islamabad: Three suspected robbers arrested in F-7 sector

ISLAMABAD: At least three suspected robbers have been arrested during a police encounter in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kohsar, Islamabad.

According to police spokesperson, the detained suspects were involved in several robbery and snatching incidents in the federal capital.

The Islamabad police spokesperson said that the suspects have confessed to carrying out a robbery in the F-7 sector. Three pistols, mobile phones and cash were also recovered from the arrested robbers.

Man shot dead during musical night in Shakarparian

Earlier, in a shocking incident, a man was shot dead, and a cop sustained injuries during a musical night event in Islamabad’s Shakarparian.

As per details, the incident occurred when a man named Samiullah went for the musical night with his friends and the suspects opened fire, killing him on the spot, injuring a police constable, Ghulam Hasnain.

The Islamabad Police have registered an FIR at Aabpara Police Station on the complaint of the victim’s cousin, Imranullah, over the targeted killing of Samiullah during a musical night event at Shakarparian.

According to the FIR, the cousin of the victim has nominated four suspects in the case, including Sadr Islam, Ishaq, Rizwan and Sawar Khan.

The FIR further said that the suspects killed him and severely tortured him.

Chinese woman dies in Islamabad’s G-8

Earlier, a tragic incident occurred in Sector G-8 of the federal capital, Islamabad, where a young Chinese woman died after jumping from the roof of a residential building.

According to police sources, the deceased has been identified as Wang Ruoping.

As per the reports, she had come to Pakistan on a visit visa. Upon receiving information about the incident, police teams rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area.

The initial investigations suggest that the woman sustained severe head injuries as a result of the fall. This proved fatal on the spot.

The body of the deceased Chinese woman was shifted to a nearby hospital for completion of legal and medical formalities.

Police officials stated that the incident is being examined from all angles. They added that suicide or other possible causes cannot be ruled out at this stage.

Evidence is being collected, and people connected to the deceased are also being questioned. Authorities said the exact cause of the incident will be determined after completion of the investigations.
