The federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced plans to build a state-of-the-art city in Islamabad inspired by Manhattan, the private media outlet reported on Friday.

Mohsin Naqvi, while addressing the Saudi-Pak Real Estate Expo in Islamabad on Friday, said, “The federal government is going to build a state-of-the-art city inspired by Manhattan in Islamabad.

He further added that the city will be right behind the Prime Minister’s House.”

Mohsin Naqvi also said that the highly valuable plots for the project will be auctioned in December.

The federal Interior Minister told the participants present at the expo that the valuable plots would be provided to investors free of charge to build shopping malls and residential complexes. However, the investors would fulfil two major conditions, including the completion of the projects in three years and that the height of the buildings would be more than 600 feet.

The interior minister assured investors that all matters would be handled through a one-window system to facilitate them. He expressed confidence that investors from Saudi Arabia would also come forward, creating excellent investment opportunities.
