ICT Police has released the traffic diversion plan for Islamabad roads in light of Youm-e-Quds. Traffic police has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and use alternative routes.
The rally is expected to start from Imambargah G-6/2 at 09:00 AM.
Traffic diversion routes for different roads across the city
For diversion for traffic on Kulsoom Plaza Fazal Haq Road, citizens should use Jinnah Avenue, while residents of F-6 and F-7 should use Polyclinic Road.
For diversion for traffic coming from Luqman Hakim Road Gali No. 14, citizens should use G-6 Municipal Road and Saddar Road.
There will also be a traffic diversion at CDA Hospital Imambargah G-6/2, citizens should use G-6 Saddar Road and 7th Avenue.
For traffic diversion at Polyclinic Quarters Chowk Luqman Hakim Road, citizens should turn to G-6 Municipal Road, Saddar Road and 7th Avenue.
On the other hand, for traffic diversion at China Chowk Fazal Haq Road, citizens should use F-6 Service Road and Shaheed-e-Millat Road.
An alternative route has been set for traffic coming from Fazal Haq Road, Shaheed-e-Millat Road.
Any type of vehicle or motorbike is prohibited from parking in front of the new and old emergency of the polyclinic.
Karachi traffic plan for Youm-e-Quds
Due to the procession, traffic on MA Jinnah Road and the surrounding streets is expected to remain congested.
Citizens are encouraged to use alternative routes to prevent any inconvenience.
Traffic officials have indicated that commuters traveling from Teen Hatti towards Tower may opt for the route from Gurumandir through Soldier Bazaar and Bahadur Yar Jung Road leading to Holy Family Hospital.
Alternatively, they can proceed via Banaras Chowrangi to PP Chowrangi and Corridor Three.
Traffic originating from Nazimabad towards Tower has been instructed to take the route from Lasbela through Nishtar Road, Ranchor Line, and Civil Hospital Karachi.
