Officials have dismissed reports of third-party involvement in the ongoing crucial and historic talks in Islamabad, between US and Iran and termed these claims as baseless speculation.
According to informed sources, the clarification came after a US delegation arrived in Islamabad, following the arrival of an Iranian delegation a day earlier.
The back-to-back visits from officials earlier had triggered rumours about the possible participation of representatives from other countries.
However, informed sources said the dialogue is strictly limited to the two key stakeholders, the United States and Iran, with Pakistan playing a mediatory role.
The sources revealed that any reports suggesting involvement of additional parties are speculative in nature and appear to be aimed at creating a distraction, urging to disregard such claims.
