Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a special traffic plan for the Yadgar-e-Fatah ceremony in the capital on Saturday, October 3.
Several roads will be closed during the event. Traffic will be moved to other routes to keep the roads clear.
Which roads will remain closed?
The service road from Al-Shifa Hospital to the Federal Board will remain closed.
Faiz Ahmed Faiz Road will also be closed. The closure will cover the section from Beaconhouse to Jaffar Khan Jamali Road.
Where will traffic be diverted?
Traffic coming from Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum Road will be sent towards Sector I-8 East Service Road.
Traffic at Al-Shifa Signal will be diverted towards Mir Chakar Road.
Which routes can motorists use?
Drivers can use Mir Chakar Road as an alternative route. Patras Bukhari Road and Sector I-8 Main Double Road can also be used.
The ITP has asked motorists to plan their journeys before leaving. Citizens should also follow the instructions of traffic police officers.
Where should visitors park their vehicles?
Visitors have been asked to park only in the areas marked for parking.
Traffic police personnel will be present on the affected roads to guide motorists and manage traffic.
What will happen at the Yadgar-e-Fatah ceremony?
The ceremony will take place on Saturday evening in Islamabad.
The event will include a musical programme and a projection-mapping show. The show will highlight the Marka-e-Haq victory.
When will the monument open for the public?
The Yadgar-e-Fatah monument will open to the public from Sunday, October 4.
It will remain open from 5 PM to 10 PM every day except Monday. Visitors can get free tickets through the monument’s official website.
