Banned JAAC core member Amjad Ali Khan part ways

JAAC

Banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) core member, advocate Raja Amjad Ali Khan, has parted ways with the party.

In a video message, he said, “Our peaceful movement was hijacked, and it was used to damage the relationship between Pakistan and Kashmir. Innocent youths were sent to jails, and separate meetings were held behind closed doors.”

“I appeal to the youth: for God’s sake, do not sacrifice your future for such activities. The solution to our basic problems, like flour, electricity, and employment, lies in constructive politics”, he added.

He also declared that “from this day forward, I have no connection with the banned Joint Awami Action Committee or any anti-Pakistan, nationalist, or separate organisation.”

Situation in Azad Kashmir

The authorities have decided to deploy more than 500 FC personnel in AJK.

According to the details, the deployment of 500 FC personnel is to deal with the JAAC disruptive elements.

It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistan Armed Forces and other state institutions are fully prepared to tackle internal and external troublemakers.

At the same time, Pakistan’s civil and military leadership is prepared to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Earlier, a sedition case was registered against Khawaja Mehran, a central member of the banned JAAC, over baseless allegations against Pakistan’s Armed Forces.

A case has been registered under sedition charges against Khawaja Mehran, a member of the banned JAAC, for allegedly attempting to create a rift within the Pakistan Armed Forces in line with an Indian agenda.

According to sources, Khawaja Mehran targeted the Pakistan Army in his speech and unnecessarily criticised national institutions. Following this, the AJK government took immediate action and registered a sedition case against him.
