Bank accounts, passports of banned JAAC facilitators to be frozen

Authorities have decided to take strict action against individuals associated with the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), including its financiers and facilitators.

According to official sources, details of properties owned by individuals linked to the banned organisation in various cities across Pakistan have been sought as part of an expanded crackdown.

The decision includes freezing the Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), passports, and bank accounts of those found to be affiliated with the banned group.

Officials said the measures are being taken on the basis of the individuals’ links with the banned outfit, while relevant authorities have been directed to collect records of their assets and financial holdings.
