Renowned voice actor and comedian Jeffrey Garcia, known for voicing Sheen Estevez in Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, has died, following a string of serious health complications.
Family members confirmed that Garcia passed away early Wednesday morning at age 48 after being taken off life support on Tuesday night at a Southern California hospital.
Sources told an international media outlet that Garcia had faced multiple medical crises over the past several months.
In the spring, he reportedly suffered a brain aneurysm that led to a fall and head injury, from which he initially recovered.
More recently, he is said to have suffered a stroke, and sources claim he had cancelled multiple stand-up shows because he wasn’t feeling well.
Just weeks ago, Garcia was hospitalized around November 20 with pneumonia.
He was discharged after a brief stay, but his health took another turn this week.
According to the outlet, Garcia was admitted Monday with breathing problems and on Tuesday his lung collapsed.
