Preparations are underway at Jati Umra in Lahore for the wedding of Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and Shanzeh Sheikh, granddaughter of senior PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar.
Junaid Safdar wedding dates
The wedding celebrations are set to start on January 16.
According to the details, the baraat of Maryam Nawaz’s son will leave for Lake City on January 17.
The walima or reception of the couple will be held on January 18 at Sharif Farms, Jati Umra, at 1:00 PM.
Rohail Asghar confirmed Junaid Safdar’s second marriage last month and shared some details about the future events.
He also mentioned that his granddaughter, Shanzeh Sheikh, and Junaid Safdar’s sister, Mahnoor Safdar, are close friends.
However, he added he is not sure if Mahnoor has played any role in choosing the match for her brother.
Rohail Asghar added that when he was consulted about the marriage, he encouraged it.
He said that it was a blessing that the bride was marrying into such a prominent family.

According to previous reports, the match has been approved by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and the entire Sharif family.
A private gathering was recently held, where both families, including the bride-to-be’s father, Ali Rohail Asghar, met to discuss early arrangements.
