Justice for Hussnain trends in social media

SARGODHA: The brutal killing of a young man, Hussnain Nawaz, in Sargodha has sparked outrage on social media, with users urging Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz for justice and to ensure swift arrests.

The hashtag Justice for Hussnain remained among the top trends as calls for action grew louder.

Hussnain Nawaz, a resident of Gujrat, was murdered during his uncle’s wedding in Chak 75 South. Police said the main suspect, Awais, along with his accomplices, abducted the victim, took him to a sugarcane field, and killed him with axe and stick blows before escaping.

Saddar Police have registered a case against four nominated suspects and four unidentified men. Investigators are probing the motive and tracking the accused.

Locals claim the killers snatched cash and the victim’s mobile phone before the attack. The suspects, two brothers, belong to the Muslim Sheikh community and worked as labourers on fields owned by local landlords.

The people have demanded that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take notice of this brutal killing and bring the culprits to immediate justice.
