Karachi: Two criminals arrested in injured condition in police encounter in Liaquatabad area

Supermarket Police in Shahr-e-Quaid, Karachi, on Tuesday, arrested two accused involved in street crime during an alleged encounter near Gujjar Nallah in Liaquatabad C-area in an injured condition.

According to the police, the arrested accused were identified as Ghulam Abbas and Wazir, from whose possession two pistols, a loaded magazine and a motorcycle were recovered.

Two individuals believed to be involved in a robbery were apprehended while injured, and firearms were confiscated during police confrontations at multiple sites in Shahr-e-Quaid.

One of the suspects was arrested in an injured condition after an alleged encounter on Lyari Eidu Line Street No. 1, which is under the jurisdiction of the Baghdadi Police Station.

The suspect was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi for medical treatment, where he was identified as Sajid Ali, also referred to as Atif.

The police further recovered weapons from the robber’s possession.

Karachi Police issues ‘public safety’ advisory for citizens

Earlier, a public safety advisory issued by the Karachi Police advised citizens to avoid allowing unknown individuals to enter their homes and workplaces in light of the ongoing Pak Afghan war.

In view of the regional conflict, it became mandatory to perform thorough verification of domestic helpers, drivers, and security staff.

The advisory also highlighted the importance of registering with the relevant police station before hiring a tenant and encouraged individuals to immediately report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest police station.
