Web desk: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) clarified that there is no plan to cut gas supply for residential customers in Karachi, on Saturday.
SSGC posted regarding this on the social media platform Facebook page that all news on social media about a complete gas closure for residents is false and unverified.

Night gas load management will continue as usual from 10 pm to 5 am.
Some posts on social media claimed that the gas supply in Karachi would be suspended from Sunday, 8 am to January 5, 8 am.
SSGC said these reports are completely false and misleading.
It was reported previously that the spokesperson had said that the company is facing a gas shortfall. Which has affected overall availability.
Previously, K-Electric, Karachi’s main electricity provider, announced a scheduled power outage on 59 feeders in the city on January 3, 2026.
The shutdown was for maintenance work on transformers in different areas, Times of Karachi reported.
Scheduled load shedding in Karachi
Power outages were expected from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
It was announced that the residents of Karachi in different areas will have to face 8 to 10 hours of load shedding. Due to this maintenance.
The maintenance work would also disrupt daily life activities as well.
