KARACHI: Several parts of Karachi have received light to moderate rainfall on Monday, bringing relief the metropolis following hot weather.

As perdetails, areas including Surjani Town, North Karachi, Nagan Chowrangi, and Buffer Zone witnessed intermittent showers. Rain was also reported in Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, SITE Area, Manghopir, and surrounding localities.

Naya Nazimabad, Orangi Town, Mianwali Colony, and the vicinity of Ayesha Manzil also received rainfall. Showers were further recorded in Federal B Area, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and Gulistan-e-Jauhar, where residents enjoyed a brief spell of cool weather.

On the other hand, Islamabad has forecasted to register 19°C in the morning, coldest day since summer, with a daily high near 20°C and a low near 16°C along with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

Morning chill arrives with cloud cover in Islamabad

Against all expectations, residents will step out to a distinctly cool start, as temperatures hover near 19°C between early morning and mid morning.

Because cloud cover limits sunshine, the air will feel cooler than recent days, and the warming through noon will be modest.

By early afternoon, readings should approach 20°C, yet the combination of cloud, humidity, and a few showers will keep conditions mild rather than warm.
