The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi may experience light rain during the night and early morning hours. However, the city is expected to remain hot and humid throughout the day.
Karachi frequently experiences humid conditions during this period of the year due to its coastal location, and residents often see a combination of clouds, sunshine, and occasional light rain. The PMD stated that residents should be prepared for relatively warm and humid conditions. However, there is also a possibility of drizzle could provide temporary relief from the heat. Karachi continue to witness partly cloudy weather across different parts of the city.
Weather officials reported that the minimum temperature recorded in Karachi on Thursday was 29.5 degrees Celsius. The department also stated that the amount of moisture present in the air was measured at 72%. Such high humidity can make temperatures feel warmer than they actually are and may cause discomfort for people spending long periods outdoors.
Additionally, southwestern winds were blowing across Karachi at a speed of 15 kilometres per hour.
The PMD further predicted that Karachi’s maximum temperature for the day is likely to remain between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius. Temperatures are expected to stay relatively high even if it rains. The expected drizzle is not forecast to be heavy rainfall but rather a light shower that could occur in some areas.
