Karachi: As the mercury drops in the entire country, Karachi which has already started experiencing cooler weather is also likely to see an obvious surge in cold.
The weather experts have predicted a further drop in temperature across the country. Across Karachi the colder conditions are predicted to increase in the coming days as well.
According to the Meteorologists the minimum temperature in Karachi could drop to as low as 9 degrees Celsius at night, making it one of the coldest spells of the season for the seaside city.
Morning and nighttime hours will remain chilly and cold winds may push the mercury into single digits during the ongoing week.
Overall colder weather is expected to prevail nationwide as winter tightens its grip.
As per the weather experts the temperatures in Karachi are expected to fall further over the weekend particularly on Saturday and Sunday.
Cold, dry weather to prevail across Pakistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted cold and dry weather across most the country and partly cloudy conditions in several regions.
In Pakistan’s northern areas, including Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is expected to remain cloudy, while light rain and snowfall may occur at a few locations. The federal capital Islamabad and surrounding areas are also likely to experience cold weather with partly cloudy skies.
KP is expected to remain cold with partly cloudy weather in most districts and upper districts may experience severe cold. Light rain and snowfall are also possible in Kohistan, Battagram, Chitral, and surrounding areas.
