Karachi weather update: will it rain tomorrow?

The weather in the port city though remained pleasant and favorable throughout the day after the rainfall yesterday provided a comfortable environment to the Karachi.

According to the Pakistan meteorological department temperature in Karachi is expected to remain moderate throughout the day with a slight increase from today.

The temperature in the morning was 17C whilst the current has reached 18C. The maximum in the daytime is likely to be between 28 and 29oC.

Light winds are coming from the north-east and winds are blowing at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour and humidity levels are at 62 percent.

The Meteorological Department further said that the air quality in the city is slightly better today and there is no possibility of rain at the moment.

Yesterday after heavy rain and hailstorm the weather in Karachi had turned pleasant in some areas of the port city in the afternoon.

Heavy showers were recorded in different localities disturbing the normal life delaying the traffic in peak hours.

Hail was reported from parts of Liaquatabad, Nazimabad and Gulistan-e-Jauhar with residents seeing hailstorms of not just streets but rooftops as well.

Rainfall also was observed in the site area Buffer Zone, Five Star roundabout and Nagan Chowrangi. There were similar weather conditions reported from Orangi Town and on University road.

The sudden change in the weather brought a relief from the dry weather but also caused the accumulation of water in low lands.

However, the weather in Lahore turned pleasant after light rain in several areas of the city on Wednesday morning.

Areas including Johar Town, Canal Road, Iqbal Town, Shera Kot, Scheme Mor, Yateem Khana, Sabzazar and Samanabad experienced a decrease in temperature giving a boost to the chilly conditions.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, most regions of the country is likely to be dry today while it would be cold in the morning and night.

Meanwhile over the last 24 hours rain with strong winds and thunder accompanied occurred at a few places in Balochistan, coastal and upper Sindh and Parachinar.
