ISLAMABAD: Even in this extremely cold weather, the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) is busy clearing roads. They are doing this for the common public and for trade activities.

Khunjerab Top one of the most important roads between China and Pakistan which is located 15,397 feet above has also been cleared.

The teams of FWO are clearing the snow with the help of clearance machinery. The Karakoram Highway is clear and can be used to travel due to the efforts of FWO. It is pertinent to note that the temperature at Karakoram highway is minus 20 degrees centigrade.

To keep the traffic moving, heavy machinery is being used to remove snow from roads timely from roads.

Keeping the roads open in such extreme cold weather is the proof of FWO’s professional competence, tireless effort and national commitment.

It is very important to keep these roads open. Not just for the common people but also Pakistan-China trade. The roads need to be cleared for the trade to take place smoothly.
