Thousands turn out for Kashmir Solidarity rally in Islamabad

Tens of thousands of people in Islamabad turned out for a rally against India brutallities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, a rally led by Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Amir Muqam was taken out in Islamabad.

It commenced from China Chowk and culminated at D-Chowk. The participants raised slogans in support of Kashmiri people. They also carried banners highlighting Indian atrocities against Kashmiri people.

Addressing the rally, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam said the large turnout of people from diverse segments of society underscores Pakistan’s unwavering support for its Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination.

He paid tributes to the sacrifices of Kashmiri people, emphasising that the day is not far when their struggle will yield results. He said Pakistan will always advocate for the rights of Kashmiri people.

He urged the UN to implement its resolutions for the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people. He emphasised that resolution of the dispute is important for regional peace and security.

CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirms unwavering support for IIOJK people

On the solemn occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff, on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, reaffirm their unwavering support for the resilient people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their epic struggle for self-determination.

The Pakistan Armed Forces strongly condemn grave violations of human rights in IIOJK, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, arbitrary detentions, and attempts to alter the demographic and political landscape of the region, with blatant disregard for international law, said a news release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“We reiterate that a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, remains essential for lasting peace and stability in South Asia. The international community must take concrete and meaningful action to alleviate the suffering of the Kashmiri people,” it said.

“The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain steadfast in their duty to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and unwavering in their solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their rightful quest for freedom and dignity,” it further said. Kashmir Solidarity Day

Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed today to express support for people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle for right to self-determination.

The day draws attention of the international community to the Indian atrocities in the Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

To mark the Day, solidarity walks, seminars, exhibitions will be organised across Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.

One minute of silence will also be observed across the country at ten in the morning to pay homage to the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement.
