Key talks in Islamabad are underway as the foreign ministers of four countries met to discuss the evolving regional situation and push for peace amid rising tensions.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar hosted his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt for the high-level meeting. The discussions focused on finding diplomatic solutions to ongoing conflicts, particularly the tensions between the United States and Iran.
Speaking during the session, Ishaq Dar said all sides agreed that war is not in anyone’s interest. He stressed that dialogue and negotiations are the only way forward to ensure peace and stability in the region. The foreign ministers also held detailed discussions on key regional issues and explored ways to reduce tensions.
Dar added that the participating countries would welcome meaningful talks between the United States and Iran. He emphasised that increasing instability in the region benefits no country and called for collective efforts to de-escalate the situation.
