Usually, when a new model arrives, its price goes up, but has the company done the opposite this time? The company has announced the price of the new Kia Stonic, and it has been kept lower than the old model.
Booking for this model started yesterday. The vehicle was first presented at PAPS 2026. Now Kia has released its price and booking details.
What is the price of the new Kia Stonic?
The Kia Stonic will be available in two variants.
Turbo X: Rs 5.499 million
Turbo S: Rs 5.899 million
The old Stonic was sold for around Rs6 million. The new vehicle is more modern, yet its price is lower, which is something rarely seen from a company.
How will booking work?
Kia has provided a price-lock facility, and full payment will have to be made at the time of booking for deliveries in November and December 2026. For such buyers, the price will remain locked.
For buyers who want delivery after December 2026, partial booking is also available. The amount is Rs1 million.
One thing buyers should definitely keep in mind. If a new tax or levy is imposed in the future and the price increases, the additional amount will have to be paid by the buyer at the time of delivery.
This is not just a facelift, but a completely new look
This is the second facelift of the first-generation Stonic. The first facelift came to Pakistan with minor changes, but this time Kia has made major changes to the design. Globally, this model was introduced in 2025 and has now arrived in Pakistan.
The vehicle is built on Kia’s Opposite United design language. Its appearance resembles the company’s new electric vehicles.
Interior and exterior design
The design of the new Kia Stonic is completely different from the old model. The exterior features vertical LED headlights with Star Map lighting, while C-shaped taillights can be seen at the rear, which are also found on Kia’s electric vehicles, the EV3 and EV9.
Along with this, changes have also been made to the bumpers and side design. On the inside, the entire cabin has been redesigned, while two panoramic screens have been installed on the dashboard, similar to those seen in the Sportage and Sorento. Meanwhile, physical buttons have been replaced with touch-sensitive controls.
Major change in the engine
The biggest change is in the engine, because the old 1.4-litre naturally aspirated engine has now been discontinued, and the new Stonic will be offered only with a 1.0-litre turbo engine.
In this segment, the Stonic will compete with the Suzuki Fronx, which is already popular among buyers. Chery Q, which was introduced around the same time, is also its competitor.
If your budget is around Rs5.8 million, the Stonic is a good hatchback option. Compared with its price, it offers a new design, modern screens and a turbo engine. However, before making a decision, be sure to compare it with the Fronx and Chery Q.
