The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, will pay a State Visit to Pakistan on 15–16 November 2025, calling it a key moment in strengthening ties between the two nations.

According to the official statement, the visit comes “at the invitation of Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan.” The ministry described the upcoming engagement as a reflection of the “longstanding, fraternal relations between Pakistan and Jordan.”

The official press release noted that the high-level visit is expected to “further strengthen the strategic direction of Pakistan–Jordan relations and place them on a higher trajectory,” adding that the partnership will “encompass a comprehensive and broad-based partnership in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.”

During his two day stay, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein will hold “important meetings with the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.”

The full spectrum of bilateral relations between the two countries will be on the agenda.

A special highlight of the visit will be an “investiture ceremony to confer the highest civilian award upon His Majesty,” which will take place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.

The Foreign Office emphasized that the King’s visit will “further consolidate the longstanding Pakistan–Jordan relationship” and “contribute to expanding the scope and spectrum of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.”

The ministry underscored that the visit symbolizes a renewed commitment to deepen collaboration in multiple areas and marks an important continuation of diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Amman.

This diplomatic engagement is the continuation of Pakistan’s improving relations with the Kingdom of Jordan. In late October Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the Kingdom of Jordan.

His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan prised Pakistan’s Army efforts for regional peace and security.

The ISPR statement noted that “His Majesty appreciated the professionalism and contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards regional peace and stability and expressed his desire to further strengthen defence collaboration between the two brotherly countries.”
