Konstantin Ganich

Ukrainian crypto investor and influencer Konstantin Ganich, known online as Kostya Kudo, was found dead in a Lamborghini during one of 2025’s sharpest crypto sell offs, local media reported.

His death shocked Ukraine’s crypto community, where he was known for trading tips and views on digital assets.

Authorities are investigating. Friends and followers say the news highlights the heavy stress many traders and influencers face in fast moving markets.

What happened in the market crash

During the same period, crypto prices fell hard.

Bitcoin dropped about 9.5% to around $111,000, while Solana and XRP fell nearly 20%.

Data firms said more than $19 billion in positions were liquidated, mostly from risky, leveraged bets.

The largest single liquidation about, $203 million, happened on Hyperliquid in the ETH/USDT pair.

Analysts linked the plunge to rising fear after the US president threatened 100% tariffs on Chinese imports, which also hit stocks: the S&P 500 fell 2.7% and the Nasdaq 100 dropped 3.5%.

Some exchanges struggled under the load.

Hyperliquid accounted for around $10.3 billion in forced closures, while Bybit and Binance also saw technical issues.

Kris Marszalek Calls for better safeguards and support

After the crash, Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek urged regulators to review how major exchanges handled the meltdown and whether trading halts or slowdowns made it harder for users to act.

Community leaders also called for more mental health support and safer trading habits like avoiding high leverage and setting strict risk limits.

As investigations continue into Ganich’s death, many in the crypto world say the focus should be on protecting people as well as portfolios.
