PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced the winter vacations of all learning institutions.
The notification includes the details about the holidays of both Government and private schools as well as colleges. The state has developed two distinct schedules depending on the climate regions.
In the summer zones, the institutions will be closed between 1 January and 15 January. However, a much longer break will be witnessed in the winter season.
These schools will remain closed between 22 December 2025 and 28 February 2026. This will ensure that students and the staff are not exposed to the extreme seasonal cold.
Provincial Schedules of Vacations
Other provinces have also announced their winter vacation dates. Sindh schools will continue shutting down until 22 December-31 December.
Besides, Punjab has fixed its winter holiday between 22 December and 10 January. Board exams will be done as scheduled despite these holidays.
As a result, safety was of primary concern to the provincial education secretary in this most recent announcement. In summer zones, students will resume classes in the middle of January.
On the other hand, academic activities will start at the beginning of March in colder regions.
All in all, such precautions make sure that everyone remains safe even in the most severe winter weeks.
