KP Chief Minister slammed over skipping Bannu’s martyrs funeral

NADRA confirms Sohail Afridi's involvement in May 9 attack

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi was nowhere to be seen at the funeral of people martyred in Bannu. This incident has sparked outrage and is evidence of the insensitivity of KP CM towards the people.

Experts have called this behaviour tragic and very contrary to the traditions of KP. This incident shows the insensitivity of the KP government and the CM have against the people they are governing.

KP CM can usually be seen at the flop rallies of PTI and giving comments that are polarising for the country, but when it comes to praying for martyrs due to terrorism, he was nowhere to be seen.

The funeral was for the civilians who were killed in a terrorist attack on April 3. A total of 5 civilians were killed inlcuding three women and a child.

Other than the martyred, four other people were critically injured. The terrorists targeted a civilian population outside the Police Station Domel in the district of Bannu.

The cowardly attack by Khawarij on the Domel police station was thwarted by the security forces, according to security sources.

The injured were then shifted to hospitals and given immediate medical treatment.

However, even at such a big issue, KP CM was nowhere to be seen. He is only seen whenever he has political point-scoring to do.

He is never seen governing the province he is the Chief Minister of. Due to this both the province and its people have suffered greatly.

His absence from the funeral was noted and found very offensive by the general population and also by the families of the martyrs.
