KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has come under criticism from citizens in Peshawar after leaving the province for Sindh amid ongoing administrative and political challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Citizens questioned the use of official protocol and government resources for the chief minister’s visit, asking who would oversee the province’s administrative and political affairs during his absence.
They said that with the chief minister outside the province, questions remain over whether the KP government would continue functioning normally and who would be responsible for handling key matters in his absence.
The criticism comes as citizens also raise concerns over the use of public resources for the chief minister’s travel.
KP CM Sohail Afridi Sindh visit
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Thursday departed for Rahim Yar Khan, beginning a five-day visit to Sindh aimed at intensifying political mobilisation and preparations for the September 27 long march.
The chief minister will remain in Sindh from September 3 to 7, during which he is scheduled to meet political workers, local leaders and other stakeholders as part of efforts to build support for the planned street movement.
Afridi is also expected to lead a series of public and political engagements across Sindh and hold meetings with the party’s local leadership to strengthen coordination and organisational preparations for the September 27 march.
According to the chief minister, the visit is an important step towards accelerating political mobilisation and finalising arrangements for the upcoming long march.
He said discussions with political workers and local leaders would focus on strengthening the party’s organisational network and ensuring effective participation in the planned street movement.
The five-day visit is expected to give fresh momentum to the party’s political activities in Sindh as preparations for the September 27 long march gather pace.
