The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has presented a development plan for the fiscal year 2026–27, focusing on health, agriculture, youth empowerment, and public relief initiatives.
The plan was thought out during a meeting led by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Sunday, where significant projects aimed at reshaping the province’s future were evaluated.
The Chief Minister instructed the immediate revival and expansion of a free medicines program for disadvantaged cancer patients throughout the province.
He also stressed the importance of securing timely funding for the Khyber Institute of Child Health and directed officials to pursue additional resources from the federal government.
Additionally, the government intends to establish Rescue 1122 sub-stations in all tehsils, create rescue points in densely populated areas, and launch mobile command and control centers.
