Influencer Kristy Scott has filed for divorce from her husband, Desmond Scott, calling an end to a long-running marriage. According to court documents, the filing of the divorce was submitted by Kristy on December 30, ending a relationship spanning 12 years.
The couple got married in 2014 after dating for four years and share two sons Vance and Westin. Reports that make reference to court records show that the reason for the split was alleged infidelity.
Desmond Scott spoke publicly about what he felt regarding the separation with an Instagram Story post on Saturday, January 10. In his message, he gave an apology to Kristy, their family, and those who were affected by the public attention involved in the situation.
He admitted the disappointment the news might have caused and said he was sorry for the pain that he caused.
Emphasising his role as a father, Desmond claimed that his children are his first priority and proclaimed his commitment to be an active, present and loving father. He also reflected on difficulties within the marriage itself and said that he and Kristy had had difficulties and made real efforts to resolve them.
Desmond revealed to have had a wish to separate towards the end of 2025 and admitted to decisions after that that he was not proud of.
He claimed he accepted responsibility for his actions, talked directly to Kristy regarding them, and that it was the couple’s decision to divorce. He concluded by asking for some privacy and understanding while they get through this period.

Both Kristy and Desmond are popular figures on social media, and they are known for sharing moments from their family life with their followers. Kristy has 16.9 million followers on TikTok and 9.5 million followers on Instagram. 1.5 million followers and 1.8 million followers follow Desmond on TikTok and Instagram, respectively.
Just last year, the couple marked a decade of marriage with a big event, and described themselves at the time as best friends, with a shared passion for laughter and for finding joy in daily life.
