WEB DESK: Khan Research Labs (KRL) defeated Pakistan Television (PTV) by 4 wickets and won the President’s Cup One-Day Cricket Tournament 2025.
According to the details, the one-day innings (ODI) Final was played at the National Bank Stadium.
PTV won the toss and decided to bat first. The whole team returned to the pavilion after scoring 164 runs in 40.2 overs.
Shamail Hussain scored 50 runs off 44 balls by hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes, Imad Butt scored 24, Taimur Khan scored 23, and Muhammad Muhammad Mohsin scored 22 runs.
Three batsmen returned to the pavilion without scoring any runs.
Sufyan Muqeem and Ahmed Hassan took 3 wickets. Ahmed Bashir took 2 wickets for 34 runs, while Iftikhar Ahmed and Hamza Nazar shared 1 wicket each.
KRL Batting Attack
In response to the bowling, KRL, chasing an easy target, lost 6 wickets and embraced victory. Shahzeb Khan played a beautiful innings by scoring 53 runs off 83 balls by hitting 4 fours and a six.
Captain Iftikhar Ahmed was dismissed for 25 runs off 38 balls, while the centre of hope, Saad Baig, hit 5 fours, but he could score only 23 runs.
Waqar Ahmed scored 11 runs, Ahmed Hassan scored 9 runs, Aamir Burki scored 24 runs, and Hamza Nazar remained not out with 10 runs.
Iftikhar Ahmed was announced as Player of the Tournament, while Shahzaib Khan was the Player of the Match.
The winning team chased the target of 165 runs in 34.4 overs, losing 6 wickets. KRL received the winning trophy along with a prize of Rs 50 lac, while PTV received Rs 25 lac.
