Fuel storage tanks at Kuwait International Airport caught fire early Wednesday after an Iranian drone strike, causing a large blaze but no casualties, according to Kuwait News Agency.

The report, as per the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, said the unmanned aerial vehicle targeted a fuel storage facility operated by Kuwait Aviation Fueling Company, resulting in damage to the site.

Emergency response teams were immediately dispatched, and firefighters worked to contain the flames. Authorities confirmed that no deaths or injuries were reported in the incident.

Earlier, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had warned of possible further attacks following American strikes on Iran’s university in Tehran.

In a statement reported by Iranian state media, the Guards said institutions they consider linked to the United States and Israel in the Middle East could be treated as potential targets.

Iranian university attack

Iranian authorities said the warning comes after a reported bombing at a science and technology university in Tehran.

They blamed the incident on American and Israeli involvement, although there has been no independent confirmation of those claims.

Officials said the response would be part of what they described as retaliatory measures.

Warning to civilians

The IRGC statement urged people to avoid areas near certain universities in the region, advising a distance of at least one kilometre from such locations.

It said the warning applied to students, staff and residents living nearby, citing safety concerns.

Message to Washington

The statement also addressed the White House, calling on US authorities to condemn the reported attack on Iranian institutions.

It set a deadline for a response, saying further action could follow if its demands were not met.
