The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will start the matric second annual examinations from tomorrow. According to reports, a total of 64,983 candidates will appear in the exams.
What papers will be held on the first day?
On the first day, the first shift will include papers in Education, Quran and Geometrical Drawing.
The second shift will have papers in Pakistan Studies, Islamic History and Food and Nutrition.
The exams will be held under the Lahore Board’s arrangements.

Before this, all educational boards in Punjab had announced the names of position holders for the Intermediate Part-II (12th grade) first annual examinations on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
The complete 2nd year results were announced the next day, Wednesday, September 23, at 10 AM, according to the official schedule.
The Punjab educational boards later announced that the 2026 HSSC Part-I (11th grade) results would be released on Thursday, October 22, at 10 AM.
The results were to be announced by all educational boards across Punjab.
BISE Lahore shifts to digital system
Recently, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore discontinued the issuance of hard copies of intermediate result cards.
The Lahore Board has moved to a fully digital system to make it easier for students to access their academic records.
Under the new system, intermediate result cards will be provided in soft copy instead of printed documents.
The board has informed all relevant educational institutions about the change.
According to a Lahore Board spokesperson, result cards of regular candidates have been uploaded to the portals of their respective institutions.
Private candidates can download their result cards from the board’s official website.
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) also postponed tests for 17 posts at the Board of Investment.
The posts include Director General, Director, Deputy Director, Assistant Director and Public Relations Officer. The Board of Investment operates under the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to an FPSC public notice, tests for five categories of posts have been removed from Phase III of the 2026 testing programme.
