The official schedule of the Global Super League has been announced. The league is supposed to be held in the West Indies. International cricket fans have become excited since learning this news.
It is expected that the tournament will begin on July 23 and will keep on going till August 1, 2026.
There is good news specifically for Pakistani fans too. As Lahore Qalandars, the popular franchise of Pakistan Super League will be representing Pakistan at the global level.
There will be a total of five teams taking part in the tournament which includes one team from Pakistan, Lahore Qalandars.
From Australia, it’s Perth Scorchers. United Arab Emirates will be sending Desert Vipers. San Francisco Unicorns will be coming from United States.
West Indies are the hosts and the CPL team Guyana Amazon will be representing them.
Lahore Qalandars according to the schedule will be beginning their campaign on July 23. It will be a high voltage contest against Perth Scorchers.
Qalandars will then face Desert Vipers on July 24. After that they will have a break day and on July 26 they will be facing Guyana Amazon Warriors.
The last group match will be played on July 29 where they will compete against San Francisco Unicorns.
To qualify directly for the finals, the team will have to finish first on the points table. The teams that will be placed at 2nd and 3rd will be playing a qualifier on July 31.
On August 1, the trophy of the tournament will be lifted up by the winning team.
The reason why the Global Super League has been introduced is so that collaboration can be promoted between different cricket leagues and T20 cricket is enhanced at a global level.
