A grand Independence Day ceremony was held at Wagah Border today, on August 14, with a large number of people taking part. The event was filled with patriotic spirit and love for Pakistan.
People gathered at Wagah Border to celebrate Independence Day and show their love for the country. The area was decorated with green and white flags as people showed great excitement.
People waved national flags and chanted “Pakistan Zindabad”. The area also echoed with national songs and anthems.
Women, children, young people and senior citizens from different backgrounds attended the event. Participants also prayed for Pakistan’s safety, progress, prosperity and stability on the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan.
D-Chowk Independence Day parade
Islamabad’s famous D-Chowk is set to host a special city parade after a gap of 12 years.
The Independence Day City Parade is being held at D-Chowk today to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. Citizens have been invited to attend the event with their families.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced the event on social media platform X. He said D-Chowk would come alive with celebrations again after 12 years.
Naqvi said the parade is part of the Independence Day celebrations. He encouraged people to join the event and celebrate Pakistan’s spirit, pride and unity.
The event will be held at 5 PM today at D-Chowk in Islamabad. Naqvi also invited citizens to attend the celebrations with their families.
Grand Marka-e-Haq ceremony held at Wagah Border
Previously, a grand ceremony was held at Wagah Border to mark the anniversary of Maarka-e-Haq. The event showed strong national unity and love for Pakistan.
People from different parts of society attended the event in large numbers. The gathering included members of minority communities, religious scholars, lawyers, civil and armed forces personnel and students.
People showed great patriotic spirit, and the area echoed with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad”.
One of the main highlights of the event was a special parade by the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab). The well-organised march and strong performance by the soldiers filled the crowd with pride and patriotic spirit.
Students from Government College University Lahore and young singer AR Nasir also performed national songs.
Their performances added to the patriotic atmosphere and received a warm response from the crowd.
