Public resistance against terrorists has begun in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), as residents of Lakki Marwat have joined the security forces in action against militants, according to reports on Thursday.
Lakki Marwat Police, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and the local Aman Committee have launched a joint operation against the terrorists.
On the instructions of DIG Bannu Region Sajjad Khan, additional police and CTD personnel were sent to the area along with armoured vehicles.
During the operation, two terrorists were killed while four others were also arrested.
The authorities have also recovered two motorcycles used by the militants.
DIG Sajjad Khan said the terrorists would be brought to their logical end. Search and clearance operations in the area are still ongoing as well.
Fitna al Khawarij’s second attack in hours, 12 civilians injured
Recently, in South Waziristan, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP), Fitna al Khawarij militants carried out a second attack on unarmed civilians within a few hours.
In the area of Azam Warsak, Fitna al Khawarij militants attacked innocent civilians using a quadcopter drone.
As a result of these attacks, 12 people were seriously injured. These injured people include women and children.
According to the reports, the terrorists targeted a civilian house with a quadcopter drone.
The attack injured 12 members of the same family, including women and children.
After the attacks on civilians in Miran Shah and Wana, terrorists also targeted houses of ordinary people in Azam Warsak, South Waziristan.
Fitna al Khawarij militants are deliberately targeting civilian populations in order to spread fear in the area.
Later, they also attempt to use such incidents on social media to spread misleading propaganda against Pakistani security forces.
