Reports have emerged of a leopard being spotted once again within the campus of the International Islamic University Islamabad, raising safety concerns among students and staff.
According to students, the rare wild animal was seen on the university premises. Witnesses claimed the leopard was roaming inside the campus, prompting fear and uncertainty among residents and students.
After sighting, students informed wildlife authorities, but officials from the wildlife board reportedly said they were unaware of the incident. So far, no formal operation has been launched to capture or safely relocate the animal from the campus.
Students have urged the university administration and wildlife authorities to take immediate action to ensure both the safety of the animal and the security of students, warning that delays could lead to a dangerous situation.
It is not the first time that a leopard has been spotted in the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
On December 25, 2025 authorities confirmed the presence of the leopard on the campus.
According to the spokesperson of the University, a leopard was sighted in the bushes inside the University and created panic among the students and the staff.

The University administration decided to immediately close all units of the campus.
Security staff summoned wildlife and police personnel, stating that all units would remain closed until it was caught.
The officials said that the Islamabad Wildlife team reached the International Islamic University.
The searching team obtained evidence of the presence of the animal during the search operation.
However, as a precautionary measure, search patrols and trappers had been set at various points in the University.
