Islamabad is under a virtual seal as it prepares for US-Iran peace talks, which are starting today (Friday) after a two-week ceasefire was announced between the two countries.

Delegation level talks will begin today tomorrow between US and Iran which Pakistan will mediate.

High level talks between US and Iran will be held on Saturday.

The US delegation is being led by Vice President J.D. Vance, along with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, while the Iranian delegation is headed by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

China, Russia, and Gulf countries are also expected to participate in the talks as observers.

Meanwhile, preparations in Islamabad to host the delegations have reportedly been completed.
