Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has expressed sadness after the martyrdom of Dr. Sayyid Kamal Kharrazi.
In a series of posts on X, Khamenei said, “In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful. The martyrdom of Dr. Sayyid Kamal Kharrazi, that distinguished scholar in the fields of science and culture, and seasoned figure in the arena of foreign policy, is a badge of honor for the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
“The martyrdom of Dr. Kharrazi is a shameful testament to the vileness of the arrogant US‑Zionist powers and the enemies of Iran’s science, culture, and civilization”, he added.
Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei said, “Dr. Kharrazi spent many years of his life serving in various cultural, media, and diplomatic capacities, including as Minister of Foreign Affairs and in the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations.”
