Talks have begun between the US and Iranian delegations in Islamabad, reports PTV.

It is pertinent to mention that these are the first direct talks between Washington and Tehran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. US Vice President JD Vance is leading the American delegation; he met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ahead of the ceasefire negotiations. Iranian officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, also met the prime minister.
