Lahore University of Management and Sciences, widely known as LUMS, is gearing up for one of its most anticipated campus events of the year as it prepares to host the LUMS Career Fair 2026.
The upcoming fair is expected to bring together more than 200 national and multinational organisations, offering students and alumni a rare chance to interact directly with employers from a wide range of industries. From finance and technology to consumer goods and development sectors, the event is set to open doors to multiple career paths at a time when early networking has become increasingly important.
To help participants make the most of the opportunity, LUMS has rolled out a structured preparation plan through its Career Services Office. The idea is simple: walk into the career fair feeling confident, prepared and clear about career goals.
The preparation activities begin on January 24 with a Resume and LinkedIn Recap session. Designed especially for students who want to sharpen their profiles, the session will revisit key tips on writing effective resumes, improving LinkedIn presence and approaching internship or job applications. Career Peer Tutors will lead the discussion, focusing on practical advice that students can apply right away.
This will be followed by LinkedIn Headshot Day on January 26. A professional photo has become a key part of online networking, and LUMS aims to ensure that students are not held back by outdated or casual profile pictures. The session will allow participants to update their LinkedIn profiles with clean, professional headshots ahead of the fair.
On January 28, the focus will shift to strategy. The Career Fair Game Plan workshop is designed to guide students on how to approach employers, what questions to ask, how to introduce themselves and, just as importantly, how to follow up after the event. The session aims to replace guesswork with a clear, step-by-step approach.
As the fair draws closer, LUMS will also offer one-on-one support through Career Fair Guidepost sessions on February 2 and 3. These walk-in booths will allow students and alumni to seek last-minute feedback on resumes, refine elevator pitches and get clarity on participating organisations and available roles.
With the LUMS Career Fair 2026 approaching, the university is positioning the event as more than just a hiring drive. It is shaping it into a learning and networking experience that prepares students not just to meet employers, but to leave a lasting impression.
