Islamabad: M-Tagging for motorcycles begins at 13 locations

m-tags for motorcycles begins in Islamabad

The issuance of M-tags for motorcycles has commenced today at 13 centres across different areas of Islamabad.

This initiative is part of the second phase of the ongoing tagging campaign in the federal capital aimed at strengthening security.

The new directive covers all categories of motorcycles operating within Islamabad, including standard bikes, heavy bikes, and ride-hailing motorcycles. The Deputy Commissioner (DC) has made it clear that no category of motorcycle is exempt from this requirement.

To receive an M-tag, motorcycle owners are required to present their vehicle registration documents along with their national identity card. Both documents are compulsory, and applications will not be processed without them.

The M-tag sticker will be affixed to the front of the motorcycle’s speedometer.

13 M-Tag issuance points established

M-tagging services for motorcycles are now available at 13 facilitation centres set up throughout Islamabad. Staff members will be stationed at each location to assist applicants and manage queues, ensuring a smooth registration process.
