Marina Khan defends Atiqa Odho's advice to Fahad Mustafa

Recently, Marina Khan, a friend of Atiqa Odho, came to her defense over the advice she offered to Fahad Mustafa.

Amid the Atiqa Odho controversy, Marina Khan said, “What did Atiqa say? She only replied to a rapid-fire question innocently that Fahad Mustafa should work with women his age, and you guys got so offended? She didn’t say it with any ill intention or anything. I’m just surprised at their reaction.”

The recent development follows a public dispute that erupted between Pakistani actors Fahad Mustafa and Atiqa Odho, after the seasoned actress proposed that he should consider working with women who are closer to his own age.

Atiqa Odho expressed these views during a television segment where she was shown photographs of different actors and invited to provide her opinion.

Upon seeing Mustafa’s picture, she commented that “the time has come for him to work with girls of his own age, I mean women,” suggesting that leading male actors need to be more mindful of the age difference with their on-screen partners.

Fahad Mustafa replies to Atiqa Odho’s comment

Later on, Mustafa replied during a television broadcast alongside fellow actor Humayun Saeed. Using a sarcastic tone, he questioned Odho’s critique.

“I don’t know what problem Atiqa aapa has. Maybe she will only be happy if Humayun and I start playing heroes opposite her. This has crossed all limits,” he added.

Director of critically acclaimed film, Joyland, Saim Sadiq recently criticised Humayun Saeed over the Atiqa Odho controversy.

He posed a question asking why Humayun Saeed was acting like a child.
