Market closure timings have been relaxed in Islamabad Capital Territory on the orders of the Prime Minister in order to facilitate the public.
According to the notification, all shops, bazaars, markets, and shopping malls are exempt from the 8 pm closing restriction until May 31.
The Prime Minister has granted temporary exemption from the April 6 notification.
Bakeries, tandoors, restaurants, grocery stores, food outlets, and shops selling daily-use items have also received relief. The decision takes effect immediately.
In Islamabad, shops and markets will remain open throughout the week without time restrictions.
The Punjab government had already granted similar relief due to Eid-ul-Adha, extending the 8 pm closing exemption until June 1.
The notification issued by the Cabinet Division states that a partial modification had been made to the notification issued earlier in the light of ongoing austerity measures.
