Marry viral video case update: Lahore High Court hears bail plea of accused

The Lahore High Court held a bail hearing for Umair Raza Arif Ameeri, who is accused in the Marry viral video scandal, on Tuesday, according to sources.

The court issued a notice to the police and sought their response.

The petitioner told the court that he has no connection with the video that went viral on social media.

It is urged that the public refrain from sharing or engaging with such content as investigations continue.

Sharing, viewing, or commenting on unverified material can further victimise the people who are involved.

It may also interfere with ongoing investigations.

Online actions can carry serious legal and ethical consequences and seriously affect multiple real lives.

Umair Marry viral video case

Previously, Gujranwala police acted quickly after the obscene video began circulating, sources say.

Authorities confirmed the arrest of Umair Cheema, known online as “Umairy” or “Marry,” along with a woman allegedly featured in the video.

Cases of adultery have been registered against the accused.

Umair Raza/Marry arrested

Prior to this, some reports claimed that Marry was arrested by the Crime Control Department (CCD). While others suggested he had been killed in an encounter.

SP CCD Aftab Phularwan addressed the situation, saying that many of the circulating claims are false.

He confirmed that the video is a concern, but clarified that the CCD is not handling the case.

“This is not a rape case. Both individuals were consenting, and no one was forced,” he said. “The CCD handles serious rape cases, and this matter does not fall under our jurisdiction.”

He also denied rumours of any violent action by the department against Umair Butt.

“Umair was neither arrested by CCD nor was he shot or killed by our officers,” Aftab said.

“The local police are investigating the matter. CCD only conducted a preliminary inquiry, which confirmed that it is not a rape case.”

The footage, going viral under names such as “Umairy Leaks” and “7 Minutes 11 Seconds Viral Video,” triggered widespread public backlash and debate.

The original video reportedly shows a conversation between a man known as “Marry” or “Umairi” and a married woman.

The explicit content, now widely shared in multiple clips online, has drawn heavy criticism.

Social media users encountering the “Pakistani viral video original 7 11” have questioned the intentions of those who were involved.

Sparrow USA 24’s reel on Marry leaked video

Sparrow also joined the viral trend. In the viral clip, Sparrow acts as if Marry has come to his door.

He jokingly tells him to go away, saying his family is religious and does not allow such people in.

The skit is meant as satire and mimicry and not as a serious statement.

He is famous for his exaggerated expressions, his “ouch!” catchphrase, and calling himself “a baby” while acting in a feminine way, which often makes his videos popular on Instagram and TikTok.
