Maryam Nawaz launches SEHR programme for women

Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif wished success for women who have recently completed training under the “SEHR” programme.

In a statement, CM Punjab said that the “Skill Enhancement through Home Reach (SEHR)” programme has been launched to give women the best opportunities for capacity building and economic strengthening.

She said the purpose of providing vocational training at women’s doorsteps is to promote gender equality and increase their participation in the skilled workforce.

According to the Punjab government, women across the province will be able to receive skill-based training at home through the SEHR programme.

Through this programme, around 5,365 women will be able to receive skills remotely. The training will cover beautification services, hospitality, and digital technology. The total cost of the SEHR programme is 970 million rupees.

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had welcomed the announcement of a reduction in petroleum product prices and directed authorities to take immediate steps to lower transport and goods fares across the province.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the public for their support during challenging times and appreciated the Prime Minister and his team for the decision to reduce fuel prices.

Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced a major reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel.
