Huge update on Sindh matric, intermediate exams schedule 2026

Sindh’s Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, has said that Matric and Intermediate exams will take place as per the announced schedule, despite the current situation, on Friday.

According to the details, the decision was made during a meeting held to review exam preparations across the province.

Officials discussed security at exam centres and the availability of furniture, drinking water, and steps to stop cheating.

According to the plan, exams for classes 9 to 12 will start from April 7 in most parts of Sindh.

More than 13.5 lakh students will appear in the exams at over 1,600 centres across the province to give these exams.

In Karachi, exams for classes 9 and 10 will begin on April 7, while Intermediate exams will start on April 25.

In Sukkur, Matric exams will start earlier on March 30, followed by Intermediate exams from April 15.

Sindh govt steps to stop students cheating

The government has also decided to introduce a new watermarking system to stop paper leaks.

This system will help trace anyone involved in leaking exam papers.

A complaint cell will be set up at the Secretary Boards’ office to monitor exam centers and handle complaints.

The minister directed officials to use all resources to ensure fair and timely exams.

He also warned that strict action will be taken against board chairpersons if any paper is leaked.

Exams in Sukkur and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions will be checked fully through an e marking system.

In Larkana, some papers of classes 9 to 12 will be checked through e marking.

In Karachi, all class 9 papers and two Matric papers will also be checked through this system.

Authorities have been told to solve problems related to water, furniture, and other facilities at exam centers without delay.

Letters will be sent to ensure there is no load shedding during exam hours.

Section 144 will be imposed at all exam centers and mobile phones will be strictly banned to prevent cheating.
