Mbappe scores twice in his 100th game for France

Mbappe 100th France

Kylian Mbappe was at his best in his 100th appearance for France as the team beat Iraq 3-0 in the FIFA World Cup on Monday.

Extreme weather in Philadelphia put the game on hold, as a strong storm delayed the opening half by over two hours.

The match began very well for France, who took the lead in the 14th minute.

Mbappe was in charge of the ball throughout and struck a strong shot at the 14th minute into the goal to give France the lead.

Due to the rain and dangerous weather, the game was then called off.

The fans at the stadium were urged to vacate the seating areas and go to covered areas for safety.

Once the storm had passed, the second half began after a lengthy delay.

France quickly added more goals as the match restarted.

The goal happened when a defensive error from Iraq’s opener gave Ousmane Dembele a simple chance to pass the ball to Mbappe which led to another goal in the 54th minute.

This was Mbappe’s second goal of the game.

Dembele was later able to score a goal for himself in the 66th minute when he was able to get a pass from Michael Olise.

The pair of goals put Mbappe on a collision course with Lionel Messi’s record of 18 goals and led him to a total of 16 goals in the World Cup.

He also equalled the record with Germany’s Miroslav Klose and outscored Brazil’s Ronaldo.

The Real Madrid ace Mbappe has now scored 60 goals in his 100 appearances for France.

His form has been stellar in the last 15 games. He also scored twice in his last game with Senegal.

France has won both of their group games and qualified for the next round, while Iraq have two defeats.
