KMU announces MDCAT 2025 results in record 24 hours

Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, has officially announced the results of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025.

As per details, KMU declared the results within a record 24 hours. The test was conducted peacefully and transparently setting a new benchmark for efficiency and professionalism.

A total of 39,986 candidates were registered for the examination. Out of these, 38,447 candidates, 96 percent, appeared 4 percent, were absent. Additionally, one case was reported under Unfair Means (UFM).

The official result summary stated;

894 candidates (2.33%) scored between 170 and 180 marks.

3,516 candidates (9.15%) obtained marks between 160 and 169.

3,658 candidates (9.51%) scored between 150 and 159 marks.

3,253 candidates (8.46%) obtained marks between 140 and 149.

3,115 candidates (8.10%) secured marks between 130 and 139.

2,961 candidates (7.70%) scored between 120 and 129.

3,080 candidates (8.01%) obtained marks between 110 and 119.

2,887 candidates (7.51%) scored between 100 and 109.

2,817 candidates (7.33%) obtained marks between 90 and 99.

12,258 candidates (31.88%) scored 89 marks or below.

53.26 percent of candidates achieved 55 percent or higher marks, qualifying for MBBS admissions as per PMDC policy. On the other hand, 58.43 percent of candidates secured 50 percent or higher marks, meeting the qualifying criteria for BDS admissions.

Vice Chancellor’s Message

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zia ul Haq congratulated all successful candidates and their parents. He lauded their achievements and extended best wishes for their future academic and professional careers in the fields of medicine and dentistry. The VC stated that the announcement of the MDCAT results within just 24 hours after the transparent and peaceful conduct of the examination reflects the tireless and professional efforts of the KMU team. He added that this milestone is not only a matter of pride for Khyber Medical University but also for the provincial government and the entire province.

Professor Dr. Zia ul Haq further informed that in the next phase, admissions to public sector medical and dental colleges will commence soon, followed by the third phase, in which the admission process for private medical and dental colleges will begin.
