Global Samoud Flotilla

A member of Global Samoud Flotilla, Tommaso Bortolazzi has converted to Islam in an Israeli prison.

He was the Italian captain of the Global Samoud Flotilla that was seized by Israel.

Talking to the media, he said, “While they were praying, the police of the Israeli occupation force came inside and impeded them.I felt the need to oppose this and after, with my friend, I said the shahadah.”

The captain described his time in the Israeli prison as “extremely difficult”.

After accepting Islam, he said that he feels like a newborn and he is very happy

He openly supported Palestinians because he believed it was the best thing he could do to support the Palestinian people.

A total of 137 activists detained by Israel for taking part in a flotilla seeking to deliver aid to Gaza arrived in Turkey on Saturday after being deported, with two alleging that Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg was mistreated during her detention.

Some eyewitnesses said they saw her being mistreated, claiming she was shoved and forced to wear an Israeli flag.
