According to officials now Metro Bus is working from Saddar Rawalpindi to Pak Secretariat. The government further said that services of Green Bus in Rawalpindi has been resumed.

It is worth mentioning that the Metro Bus service had been downed for two days by the authorities a day earlier. The reason for the suspension, sources said, was a possible protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf (PTI).

Earlier, the PTI’s leadership had given a call for a nationwide protest on February 8th. However, the protest failed to gain momentum across the country.

The start of the protest was completely lackluster and the protest had not been able to gain any momentum.

Haripur

The people of Haripur have rejected PTI’s calls for protest, and life is running smoothly; there are no changes to be observed.

Mardan

In Mardan, the daily life was progressing as it usually does. Nothing out of the blue was happening. No shutter down happened and transport was moving easily, indicating that they have rejected PTI’s call to protest.

Landi Kotal

In the Tehsil of Landi Kotal, District Khyber, PTI’s calls for shutdowns have also been rejected, and traders kept all their shops open.

Abbottabad

Rawalpindi

The shutter-down call had also been rejected by the residents of Rawalpindi. The residents called the call unnecessary and politically motivated. They further add that they can not ignore their livelihoods for the protest of a political party. They also said that PTI does not understand the grassroots reality of the country.
