MG 800cc car price in Pakistan: rumours vs reality

MG 800cc car price in Pakistan

A growing number of car buyers in Pakistan are searching online for the MG 800cc car price in Pakistan, even though no such model currently exists in the country. The trend shows strong interest from small car buyers who are still waiting for an affordable option from Morris Garages (MG).

It has been a long time since MG Pakistan teased an image of a compact small car, which many people believed could be an 800cc vehicle. Since then, expectations have remained, especially among buyers who once relied on small engine cars for budget-friendly mobility.

For years, Suzuki dominated the 800cc segment with the Mehran, which became one of the most popular cars in Pakistan’s history. Later, the company discontinued the Mehran and introduced the 660cc Suzuki Alto, which quickly captured the market and remains Pakistan’s best-selling car today.

Back in 2022, rumours suggested MG might launch the MG3 as a small 800cc car. However, those claims proved incorrect. The MG3 was actually a 1.3 or 1.5 litre hatchback and never officially launched in Pakistan. At the time, there were predictions that the car might be priced below Rs2 million, but the launch never materialised.

At present, there is no confirmation that MG plans to introduce an 800cc car in Pakistan. However, based on current market conditions, even a small engine car would likely cost between Rs3 million and Rs3.5 million. With the Suzuki Alto already starting from around Rs3 million and reaching about Rs3.33 million, a sub-Rs3 million MG small car appears unlikely.

While online discussions and unverified reports continue to circulate, buyers are advised to rely only on official announcements. For now, the MG 800cc car in Pakistan remains speculation rather than reality.
