The Ministry of Religious Affairs has invited applications from eligible federal and provincial government employees for the positions of Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj and Nazim for Hajj 2027 in Saudi Arabia. Both male and female government employees serving in BS-07 to BS-18 are eligible to apply through the Open Testing Service (OTS).
The recruitment process will be carried out in accordance with the approved quotas and eligibility criteria. The ministry has set August 27, 2026, as the deadline for submission of applications. Applicants have been advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements, test details and application procedure before submitting their applications.
The selected Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj and Nazims will assist Pakistani pilgrims in Saudi Arabia and provide support in various areas during the Hajj operation. A total of 100 positions have been allocated for supervisory posts, for which officers in grades 17 and 18 are eligible to apply. Another 680 positions are available for field support staff, for which government employees in grades 7 to 16 can apply.
The provincial quota will be distributed in accordance with the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) quota system. Selected Pilgrim Servants and Administrators will provide services to Pakistani pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah during Hajj 2027, including assistance with accommodation, transportation, food, and other essential services.
It is worth mentioning here that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has earlier decided to introduce a new digital system for private Hajj operations in 2027, following Saudi Arabia’s Nusuk Masar system. Under the new system, pilgrims will no longer book private Hajj packages directly through private operators. Instead, the Ministry of Religious Affairs will handle the booking process through its official platform.
For the first time, the ministry will directly oversee private Hajj operations alongside the government Hajj scheme. According to sources, the ministry will manage the private Hajj scheme through the official Pak Hajj app. Pilgrims will use the digital platform for bookings and other Hajj-related arrangements.
